The PADI Open Water Diver course is the FIRST step in your scuba diving adventure! It is the most popular scuba diving course in the world and has introduced millions of people to the underwater world. Once you are certifed as a Open Water Diver, you will be able to dive independently with a buddy up to 18 metres, anywhere in the world!

It is a 2 storey dive center where above it transformed as a dorm while below is the dive center operation. It is located in Kg.Genting, Tioman Island.

The environment is very peaceful and cozy where it has chalet canteen, cafe and Mak Long’s Food stall just nearby.

To reach here you need to take ferry in and usually it will be the first stop. The dive center is 600 meter away from the jetty. Along the way from Kg.Genting Jetty terminal there are merchandise shop, restaurants and mini mart. Upon arrival we always advice customer to have their breakfast and restock their needs at the mini mart before heading to the Dive Center.

The accommodation team usually waits at the Takraw Court to pick up all your luggage. You can take a walk to the DC and enjoy the nature vibe through out the journey.

Dive time usually divided into two sessions. Morning and afternoon. There will be 2 boat dives in each session. Occasionally will be at night, upon request. If you book for shore dives most of the time it is flexible timing. 

Theory Session

You will be required to complete the ‘theory session’ before moving on to the ‘confined water or pool session’.Learn about the physics, equipment, safety, dive planning and environment.The PADI Open Water Diver Manual consists of 5 sections. You will be required to complete the 5 ‘Knowledge Reviews’ at the end of each section.There are also 5 informative videos that will further enhance your understanding. You will then need to complete short quizzes & a ‘MCQ’ exam.

Confined Water / Pool Session

You will be required to complete the ‘confined water or pool session’ (ask us about pool training if required) before moving on to ‘open water dives’.Learn how to assemble, use & care for your equipment.Learn breathing techniques, buoyancy control and safety procedures in a safe & controlled environment with your instructor.

Open Water Dives

Now it’s time to dive in the sea!You will be required to complete 4 ‘open water dives’ in the open sea. Some key skills learned in the ‘confined water or pool session’ will be repeated during the open water dives so you know how & when to apply them.

A chance to experience & enjoy the amazing underwater world whilst being supervised by your instructor.

• Ferry Transfer to Kg.Genting,Tioman – 6AM (ask for latest timing) via Mersing/Tg.Gemok Jetty
